It obviously takes a lot more than beauty to succeed in “Dancing With the Stars.” Despite their physical radiance, singer Toni Braxton and soap legend Susan Lucci were in Tuesday night’s Bottom 2 and Braxton was shown the door.
Through the early weeks of the show, both women have delivered uneven performances, often coming across as cautious and tentative.
Braxton, who was a good sport about the ejection, entered the competition with a heart condition called coronary microvascular angina and said it affected her performances.
“My goal was reached,” she said. “I wanted to do better. I wanted to breathe better. And I was definitely breathing better.”
Off the hook for at least another week were Cloris Leachman and Lance Bass, who both earned lower judges’ marks than Braxton and Lucci.
